With the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony less than one week away, one outstanding question remains: Will Van Halen attend the festivities?
According to our sources at the Rock Hall, members Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth and Mike Anthony will all make appearances. However, brothers Eddie and Alex, who gave the band their namesake, have yet to confirm. The news comes shortly after Velvet Revolver announced they would be standing in for Van Halen -- who recently scrapped their summer reunion tour -- during the ceremony, with frontman Scott Weiland and guitarist Slash speaking on the inductees' behalf.
Joining Velvet Revolver in tribute to the remaining honorees are Jay-Z who will induct Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder who will induct R.E.M., Rage Against the Machine's Zach de la Rocha who will induct Patti Smith and Rolling Stones' Keith Richards who will induct the Ronettes. In addition, Aretha Franklin is slated to perform in a tribute to late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
Watch the entire ceremony live from New York's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on March 12 at 8PM ET, here, and check out our exclusive Q&As with the inductees, photos and more.
